If you are ever traveling through the Highlands, do yourself a favor and stay at the Ghillies Lodge.  Mary MacKay has put together a very nice B&B and is a great host.  The lodge does not look like much from the road.  It sits right off the pavement and has very little parking.  However, walk around to the back and you are right on the bank of the River Ness.  Inside you will find comfortable rooms, a filling breakfast and maybe a wee dram on the Sun Porch.  For me, the Ghillies Lodge sets the standard for vacation lodging.
